Finally, after testing in selected territories, Twitter confirmed the eagerly awaited global rollout of a new stories-like feature called #Fleets and we love using it for our clients!
So what are Fleets? In short they are the Instagram Story version of Twitter, or as Twitter themselves put it, ”so everyone can easily join the conversation in a new way – with their fleeting thoughts”. But of course there is more to it than that, behaviour of users on Twitter is different to that of users on other social media platforms.
And what exactly makes Fleets different to your usual Tweets? Firstly, they disappear after 24 hours, they can’t be retweeted or liked. Fleets allow you to share text, photo and video as well as reactions to Tweets, and you can customise your Fleets with a number of background and text options.
